Privacy policy

What we collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect personal information through forms on this site. Reading Duel.help does not require you to identify yourself in any way.

Data stored in your browser

Two features use your browser’s local storage. This data stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings:

• Recent searches — your last few search terms, so the search palette can offer them again.
• Article votes — whether you marked a page helpful, and any note you wrote in the feedback box. Notes are saved locally and are not uploaded.
• Theme preference — whether you chose light, dark or system.

We do not set advertising cookies and do not run third-party ad or tracking scripts.

Server logs

Like any website, the hosting provider that serves these pages may record standard technical request data — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — for security, abuse prevention and reliability. We do not use those logs to build profiles of individuals.

Fonts and assets

Typefaces are self-hosted at build time rather than loaded from a third-party font service, so rendering a page does not send a request to an external font provider.

Outbound and referral links

When you follow a link to another website, that site’s own privacy policy applies. Some outbound links are referral links, which means the destination may record that the visit came from Duel.help so that a referral can be attributed. We do not receive personal information about you through this process. See the disclaimer for the full affiliate disclosure.

Email correspondence

If you email us, we hold that message so we can reply and, where relevant, act on a correction. We do not add correspondents to marketing lists. Please do not include sensitive information such as identity documents, passwords or recovery phrases.

Children

This site covers gambling-related topics and is intended for adults only — 18+, or the legal age in your jurisdiction. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Because we do not maintain user accounts or profiles, there is generally no personal data held about you beyond any email you have sent. If you have corresponded with us and want that correspondence deleted, ask via the contact page and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated date at the top of the page will change with it. Questions can be sent to hello@duel.help.
